Letter to Dalai Lama (AKA Bob)

I do not particularly like governments, I believe them to be barriers with which the people are kept separated and divided in to categories and they set levels for humanity, African lives are less worthy then European or American lives and south American lives are less valuable than north Americans etc.

Chinese government is no exception, they have always used brute force to impose their will upon the population, but these days it is not the Chinese government alone that is demonstrating an abuse of power but they share this favourite pastime of all governments with the so called Buddhist monks demanding the separation of Tibet from the Chinese rule.

Interesting to see how those who supposedly profess and promote unity for humanity through selflessness and shedding of all earthly possessions are all of a sudden on a rampage for a piece of land but I presume this was forthcoming as any religion thrives to expand its territories and Buddhism is of no exception. (Do not trouble yourself in to following the doctrine that proposes the Buddhism of not being a religion, it is one).

I suppose this is a fine example that may define this profound difference between faith and religion. Those who are religious but bear no faith in what they suppose to believe and those whose faith keeps them away from all conflicts over  earthly matters such as nationality, colours of worship and specifically a blind sense of patriotism that reinforces the lines that are drawn to keep humans apart from each other…. After all the only way that selfishness and greed can be promoted effectively is by the way of believing that we are here and they are there.

So, the lesson here is that in order to be religious one would need a land of their own and a flag and probably an army that may come in to play should the religious wishes to expand its religion by any means possible to any land possible… after all one can not be a Buddhist in China.
